Fall 2005 Social Hour & Evening Themes

Among the highlights of each day at the West Coast Gatherings are the social hour parties and evening events. Just for fun, the social hour parties and evening events have a different theme each day. While nudity is still the overall rule, gathering attendees are encouraged (but not required) to wear accessories that correspond to the theme for the social hour and evening. |
| Social hour "costumes" can range from a simple cap or hat to the outlandish. After months of extensive deliberation, the planning committee announced the following themes for the Fall 2005 West Coast Gathering: Friday, September 16: Purple Party - It is opening night and everyone is seeing purple! Wear your favorite purple cap or hat, purple sandals or other purple accessories. Opening ceremonies and get acquainted activities will highlight the evening. |
| Saturday, September 17: Viva Mexico! - This evening's adventure takes us on a fantasy visit to old Mexico. Ah, the sounds of mariachi music, Spanish guitars, romantic dancing, great looking native men and and a fantastic fiesta. Come naturally native or wear your serape and sombrero or a vaquero hat. |

Sunday, September 18: Tenth Gathering Birthday Party - This is the tenth West Coast Gathering. It is time to celebrate with our biggest birthday party ever! Wear your birthday suit, of course! If you belong to a local club this would be a great evening to wear your local club cap too. If not, perhaps a cap representing the city or state you are from could be worn. Opening ceremonies for the week session and get acquainted activities are planned for the evening. |
| Monday, September 19: Pirates of the Pacific - Ahoy mate! Tonight we set sail on an adventure to honor the daring sailors on the high seas, and the fearless romantic pirates they were always chasing. "Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate's life for me. We pillage, we plunder, we rifle, and loot, drink up, me 'earties, yo ho! We kidnap and ravage and don't give a hoot, drink up me 'earties, yo ho!" Grab your sailor hat or your pirates hat if you prefer the dark side. |

Tuesday, September 20: Uniform Fantasy
- There is nothing like a man in uniform for adventure. Who are
your favorite heroes? Are they the the troops that defend our land,
the aces that control the skies, the officers that preserve peace
at home, the doctors and nurses that staff hospitals, the postmen
that deliver the mail, the Indian brave, the knights in shining
armor or the lads that help elderly ladies cross the street? Wear
your favorite uniform accessories this evening. |

Wednesday, September 21: Diamonds are a girls best friend - "A kiss on the hand may be quite continental, But diamonds are a girl's best friend. A kiss may be grand, but it won't pay the rental on your humble flat. But square-cut or pear-shape, these rocks don't lose their shape. Diamonds are a girl's best friend". Dress to sparkle tonight. Miss CMEN Queen contest is also planned for this evening, who will win our hearts? Thursday, September 22: Black & Blue Ball - The masculine aroma of men in black leather will fill the air, the music will beat heavy with anticipation, Yes Sir! Which is your favorite role? Will tonight be the night of your fantasies? Look your best in your polished motorcycle boots, black leather cap, armband, harness, and other leather accessories. Demonstrations and the Mr. Leather CMEN contest are scheduled for this afternoon and evening. |

| Friday, September 23: Red Party - Tonight everyone is seeing red! Wear your favorite red cap or hat, red sandals or other red accessories. The highlight of the evening will be the Mr. CMEN contest. |

Saturday, September 24: Carnival Night in Rio - Our adventure takes us to Carnival and it's party time in Rio. It's music, it's food and it's great looking men. Wear your beads, feather masks, and other festive accessories. A talent show will be featured this evening. Volunteers are welcome to help with these and other proposed theme related evening activities, please note any special interest when sending in the registration form.
