"Things N Stuff" (W&P #4) (W&P)	Oct 8-10, 2010
boy, there's a lot to do here! We're finally working off a list, cause there's a lot of "small stuff" to do. Would like to focus on tidiness. this list includes: weed whacking in main camp, painting some of our private cabins, continue with the chert path in main camp, move some items from the "Green Room" to the storage container, build benches, tables. you get the drill. Work a little, then enjoy Whispering Oaks the rest of the time. If you want to do more work, we won't stop you. there's always something that can be done! NOTE: It might be a little cooler than a few weeks ago.. that's okay, we'll keep each other warm... and so will the hot tub. This will also be the last hurrah for the pool before we winterize it.. maybe some of you can help there. All suggestions are appreciated as we hope this will always be your destination for your retreat away from your "reality".
Halloween Ball	Oct 29-31, 2010
Join us at Whispering Oaks for a Halloween Ball! Bring a Costume for the dance on Saturday night. Prizes will be given to the best constume. Our tentative schedule is as follows: Friday: about 1 hour after dinner, or thereabouts, we will show the Rocky Horror Picture Show at 8pm, and maybe some other scary movie after that and maybe not. Saturday: 8pm: The Halloweenie Dance. Come with your best costume. Prizes given away to the best one! Music selection TBD. Meals are not included.. please see the Registration Form for details about this event. Registration for this event closes on October 28th. So, make up your minds now to join us here at Whispering Oaks for Halloween!

"Make it Grow" (W&P #5)	Late Fall (November 2010)
Recall those pathways we did back in August? Now it's time to fill up those "green spaces" with real green grass. The bags of fescue are already here. They just have to be spread. This is the perfect time to do that. Bring your spreader (joking) We will have the ground prepped so all that has to be done is seed get thrown in different locations. Then when you come back next year, there'll be "Green Grass and High Tides" (well, maybe not the last part, but it was a pretty cool song back in the day)

About "Work & Play weekends": You come and help on a project that we are needing done (A few hours... The more guys we have, the quicker it gets done) Once it is done, you can enjoy the facilities here. (pool, hot tub, trails, etc) We'll even feed you dinner one night, drinks during the day, and some snacks. Please do bring some food for those "other times". All W&P events start at 3pm on Friday, and end at 1pm on Sunday..
